| dress: many belles down |
I recently wore this dress from Many Belles Down to a friend's party. I found it last year, and there's just something about it that I really love. It isn't my usual style, yet I keep coming back to it. It's not dark enough to act like an LBD, not colorful enough to be bright or bold, not really trendy, and yet still not really classic.
I just like it. I like the silky way the fabric feels on my skin. I like the simple princess neckline juxtaposed against that strange amalgam of moody colors. I like its shorter take on a conservative cut.
After looking into the brand a bit, I found out that they were greatly inspired by thrifting, which explains a lot of the inbetween feeling of this dress. I haven't been able to find anything by Many Belles Down recently, but I hope they release more creations in the future.
Anyway, do you ever stray from your usual style? Is there something in your closet you love - but you're just not sure why? I'd love to hear about it!
Hello Ariane! I can see why keep coming back to that dress... It is adorable! You are so right, there is something very intriguing about it and maybe that's just it! The dress fits you like a glove and you look so beautiful in it. I have a couple pieces like that in my closet. Every time I try to get rid of them, something within tells not to.
